1st Day of 2nd Grade for CJ!

Tuesday August 26th, 2008 marked the start of 2nd grade for CJ. The night before school started he got to pick where we went out to eat for dinner and picked Souplantation. He really loves that place!! When we got home we read scriptures and said family prayers. We talked about him starting school and meeting his new teacher and new friends. He was a little nervous but we knew that he would do great!! CJ was so happy that mommy was going in to work late that day and was going to walk him to his classroom. This year his classroom is towards the back, he's always been lucky and been in the front row, but this year he's older and bigger and braver! His classroom is #21 and his teacher is Ms. Vejar. Right away he was excited to see his friend Brent was in the same class and then discovered that Benjamin and Bryant were also classmates. There were a few others from 1st grade and also kindergarten. He got homework sent home right away and was great to get started as soon as we arrived home.

New Year, New Start!!

Have a great year CJ!

The Dentist!

The boys had an exciting week of going to the Dentist.
CJ had to have a baby root canal and actually did very well. They hooked up the laughing gas mask and put his glasses on so that nothing got in his eyes and got to work.

He did very well. They numbed up his tooth and he didn't seem to feel anything at all. It helps when you've got a TV screen in the ceiling, so he was watching 101 Dalmations. They did the drilling, filled it and put a crown on his tooth. So we've taken to calling him King CJ. He seems to like that one. They put a sealant on his teeth and took a mold for his spacer that he's going to have to go back in for.

Justin on the other hand... He was getting a little rambuncious when CJ was getting worked on. So luckily Nana was there with us and she took him out for a walk. When it was his turn he came back in and they started to get to work on him. He had two fillings that needed to be taken care of. He got the laughing gas hooked up, the glasses on, the shot was given of "sleeping juice" and they started to get to work and I don't know if he was scared or if it was hurting him but he started screaming and crying and they couldn't go any further. So... we have to schedule an appointment to go back and have him orally sedated. So it look as though we will have another two appointments for the boys before they are done there for the year.

Just Another Day in Paradise...

Are you getting sick of seeing nothing but beach pictures?
I can honestly say that I'm not tired of posting about the beach.
It is the most enjoyable thing that we've done this summer.
There must be something in the air there, because all of the kids get along so well
and nobody ever acts like they feel left out.
Us girls cherish sitting there on the beach watching the kids and catching up on our week.
If only our lives were as care free like they are when we're sitting at Lifeguard Tower 11...

The Boys are back in Town...

Yeah!! My boys made it back to me safe and sound.... They came home Friday and I was so happy to see them. A week without them was most definitely quiet and lonely. Although I did get caught up on visiting with friends that I hadn't seen in quite some time. Cori's boys were also out of town so we got to get together for pedicures and dinner. Misha met me for frozen yogurt and then visiting back at her house. Jessica needed help with her blog so I went to her house a couple of days and helped her get started with that. Jenn took me out to lunch and to see Mama Mia for my birthday. Chris and I got to meet up with my two aunts Janine and Judy and cousin Ryan for dinner. It was quite an eventful week, but so glad to have my boys back home with me where they belong. They had a great time with their Nana & Papa, Jeff, Amber, Zach, Kenzie, Brittany and Big D. They went tubing, knee boarding, fishing, and played hard in the sand. Their hair is a nice shade of bleach blond, due to all of the sun they have been in.

The Boys Are Off...

The boys left today to go to Lake San Antonio with Nana & Papa. I am not sure what we are going to do here without them. We'll actually be able to use our television, CJ thinks he is in control of the TV... We'll miss you boys, but know that you are going to have a great time!!

Back to the Beach...

So after a week off from the beach we were all dying to get back there for the peacefulness and a lil sun. We all enjoy being at the beach and love the fact that all of the kids get along so well. Our two friends Stacy and Jessica met us there with their kids. (We always go to Lifeguard Tower 11 (state side) for anyone wanting to join in on the Friday Summer Fun...) We had a long day there. Got there at 10 am and we didn't get home until 9:30 pm.

We rode home with Jess and her kids and got ice cream cones, poor Paige didn't know not to squeeze her cone or the whole top would fall off.

As if we didn't get enough sun Friday we headed back down on Saturday with Nana, Papa, Jeff, Amber & our cousins to celebrate Papa's birthday...

Fun at Nana & Papa's - July 25th

We were not able to head to the beach for our weekly trip, so we went to Nana & Papa's for a little fun. Our Friend's came with us and met our cousins there as well. We all had a lot of fun playing and swimming. So much fun in fact that we barely missed the beach.
