1st Day of 2nd Grade for CJ!
Tuesday August 26th, 2008 marked the start of 2nd grade for CJ. The night before school started he got to pick where we went out to eat for dinner and picked Souplantation. He really loves that place!! When we got home we read scriptures and said family prayers. We talked about him starting school and meeting his new teacher and new friends. He was a little nervous but we knew that he would do great!! CJ was so happy that mommy was going in to work late that day and was going to walk him to his classroom. This year his classroom is towards the back, he's always been lucky and been in the front row, but this year he's older and bigger and braver! His classroom is #21 and his teacher is Ms. Vejar. Right away he was excited to see his friend Brent was in the same class and then discovered that Benjamin and Bryant were also classmates. There were a few others from 1st grade and also kindergarten. He got homework sent home right away and was great to get started as soon as we arrived home.

He looks so cute! What a cool 2nd grader. It brought back so many memories to see an outside elementary school. Do they hang their backpacks outside? Is that safe?
Way to go, CJ! He looks so grown up. It's hard to believe they're in second grade already. Glad you got to drop him off the first day and I'm glad it wasn't as emotional as Justin's first day. That really tugs at your heart strings. Thanks for the uplifting comments on my blog....I really am sooo....grateful for you!

Yes, that is what I mean. You wonder about other kids getting in there and being destructive especially. That's good you don't have any problems.
